Lord Julian FellowesOur first guest of the Autumn Season 2022 was Lord Julian Fellowes; actor, author and screen writer probably best known for Downton Abbey, although that did not appear until 20 years ago.
The event began with drama, and may not have happened or have been a first! Julian was trapped in Parliament Square by protesters, with a lot of other people, but said he would get to us whatever. As the clock ticked on, we were setting up to Zoom from the Club for Acts and Actors into his car! Thankfully someone, somewhere, must have rubbed the magic lamp and like the supply chains before Covid he reached us just in time for what to universal acclaim was one of our best events ever. The standard just gets higher and higher. Watch the video here. |
