Lord Dobbs
The last Grill of 2021 was another rearranged event from last year when Michael Dobbs joined a full house and told us how Frances Urquhart was created in a lively and entertaining session. Michael joined us immediately after attending Sir David Amess’ funeral and the event was held under the Chatham House Rule so there is no video. We were treated to an inside view of Westminster life back to the days of Harold Wilson and learnt that the Michael Dobbs who writes in the Washington Post is not him but a distant cousin as Michael answered a wide range of topical questions! Lord Dobbs gave an interview on the record to member Emily Prescott from the London Evening Standard before the lunch which can be seen here. |
Sir John Redwood We continued our post lockdown events with the former Cabinet minister, Sir John Redwood on 22nd September 2021. Watch the video here. |
